5 Things to Do on Camano Island

Camano Island is a beautiful Island destination with a small-town feel that doesn’t require a ferry ride like many people think. We’re actually just a quick drive off of I5, through the city of Stanwood and over a bridge. Whether you live on Camano, you’re moving to the Island, or you’re visiting for a day-trip or weekend getaway, here are a few places to visit and things to do while you’re on Camano Island.

  1. Eat, Gather & Shop at Terry’s Corner

It may not look like much when you’re driving past, but Terry’s corner is the community gathering place on the Island. It’s located right off of Highway 532 and is home to the Camano Commons Marketplace, Camano Island Coffee Roasters, Tapped Camano, The Baked Cafe, Primal Barbeque, Movement Arts, and our indoor plant store, Cactus + Co. You can grab a bite to eat, coffee, baked goods, locally made art, and shop for indoor house plants while you’re here. You can also take a yoga class, get a massage, or visit the chiropractor. The yoga studio offers free outdoor classes on Fridays in the Summer with a donation for the local food bank, and you’ll often find markets and events happening here throughout the Spring and Summer time. With a grass courtyard in the center of the complex, it’s a perfect place to bring pets or kids to explore and visit the local library. There are plenty of photo opportunities, and the complex is within walking distance of Freedom Park, which has a playground, grass to run around in & local art to look at.

  2. Spend Time in Nature at Iverson Spit Preserve

Iverson is one of our favorite local beaches because of it’s hidden Hobbit Trail that’s filled with garden gnomes and fairies. It’s quite magical. Iverson has beach access and walking trails through a nature preserve, and it doesn’t require a Discover Pass for parking.

  3. Axe Throwing at Arrowhead Ranch

Home to Camano Island’s Axe Throwing venue, and host of the Soap Box Derby, Arrowhead Ranch also offers unique experiences on Camano Island including classes, workshops and seasonal festivals throughout the year. Visit their website to get all of the details on what they offer and book your visit.

  4. Ziplining at Kristoferson Farm

Home to Canopy Tours NW, you can go ziplining at Kristofferson Farm. It’s such a fun experience for friends, couples & families. They also have a farm stand you can visit to buy specialty crafted & certified organic products. Throughout the year they offer U-Pick Lavendar, crafting workshops, festivals and farm tours. Visit their website to see what they have going on and book a visit.

  5. Shopping at The Camano Shop

Located in a historic farmhouse right off of Highway 532, next door to Camano Marine, The Camano Shop is a stylish Boutique that sells cozy comfortable women's clothing, home goods, gifts, & vintage finds. Each room in the farmhouse is styled beautifully and fully shoppable with a curated selection of items you won’t want to miss.

You may also want to visit the local pet store, Paws & Wings Place, or Blue Heron Kitchen + Bar for local fine-dining and happy hour.

We hope you enjoy these suggestions and your time here on Camano Island. We look forward to seeing you in our indoor plant shop while you’re here!
