Our Story

Cactus + Co. Camano was founded by Kaitlyn Goubeau in June of 2021, and is currently owned + operated by Hailey and Dustin Dekle.

Hailey started with Cactus + Co. as a part-time employee who was totally new to being a plant parent. Her husband Dustin was the proud plant dad. But while working at the shop, her knowledge and experience of house plants began to grow, alongside her personal collection of plants.

In her time at the shop, she could see how much the Camano community enjoyed having a little plant sanctuary on the Island and she enjoyed being part of it. So in February 2022, when Kaitlyn was ready to move on from the business, Hailey and her husband Dustin were thrilled to take it on as their own.

We believe that plants make for a fun hobby, help create a more peaceful environment, and they really do make people happy. Whether you’re a new plant parent or an experienced one, we look forward to sharing our love of plants with you!

Because we strive to make plant ownership more approachable and fun for everyone, all of our plants come with general care instructions to get you started, and you can expect support from the Cactus + Co. team to answer your questions, and find the perfect plants for you and your space. If you are shopping for specific plants, but don’t see them in the shop, we happily take requests and will do our best to find them for you.

Ultimately, we are all about our community here. We love Camano and we love our little plant fam.
